English
This term our writing will be focused all around a short film unit called 'Pigeon Impossible'. This comedy film involves a mischievous pigeon who causes havoc in the centre of Washington D.C, after mistakenly entering a secret agents briefcase as he tries to steal a tasty bagel.
We will be writing a newspaper report and a narrative.
Maths
This term we will be covering a range of topics, including angles, decimals, time and the four operations.
We are continuing to use our Times Tables Rock Stars – please make sure you are practising regularly. We recommend at least 3 times a week.

Science
Our science topic this half term is, 'Living things and their habitats'. We will be looking at the ways in which new plants grow and are reproduced. We will be comparing this to how different animals, including mammals, amphibians and birds, reproduce and have offspring. We will study the different classifications of these animals, their changes through their life cycles and look closely at scientists that have researched animals in depth.

Theme
French
We are continuing our topic 'Le Corps' (The Body) this half term, learning how to say the body parts in French. We will be learning to write short phrases in French and how to have a discussion at the doctors in French.
DT
Our DT topic is food and nutrition focused this half term, and we will be looking at 'Super Seasonal Cooking'. We will be exploring different ways in which is food is produced and sourced, and why eating seasonally can be beneficial. We will be tasking seasonal foods in order to design and make our own seasonal soup. We will be practising skills to cut and chop food, whilst recognising kitchen safety.
Computing
This term we will be using Purple Mash to look at simple databases. We will learn to organise and search for information in a database, and add our own records to our own databases.
RE
We will be looking at ‘Salvation’ through the Easter story in our RE lessons this half term. We will be retelling and exploring the reasons behind Jesus’ death in detail, and what he did to save human beings.
PE
Our P.E lessons this term will take place on Thursday and Friday. Thursday’s lesson will be taught by Miss McGuinness and Mr Withers, covering Target Games.
Friday’s lesson will be covered by Mrs Barker, covering Gymnastics.
Music
Our Music lessons continue to be delivered on a Tuesday afternoon. We are learning to read tablature and notation, and play a range of music on our guitars. This will be taught by Mr Doherty.
