EYFS Practitioner Maternity Cover Vacancy
JOB TITLE: Early Years Practitioner - Fixed Term 3 terms (maternity cover)
LOCATION: Havergal Church of England Primary Academy
GRADE: NJC 19 grade 4-7
HOURS: 32.5 hrs per week - Term time only
Havergal CE Primary Academy (part of St Chad’s Academies Trust) is seeking to appoint a highly motivated, adaptable and successful EY practitioner from January 2025.
We are seeking to recruit someone who is passionate and committed to putting children first and has extensive and successful experience of working with 3-4 year olds.
At Havergal, we work collaboratively sharing good practice and supporting school improvement. We have a shared style of leadership and encourage candidates who have an ability to work proactively to develop the learning opportunities for our children.
We are looking for an Early Years Practitioner who can
• Contribute to an exciting and caring EYFS learning environment where our children will flourish both academically and spiritually
• Work as part of a team to motivate and encourage nursery children through exciting experiences and opportunities which create resilience, hope and aspirations for the future.
• Work collaboratively with all staff demonstrating a flexible and positive approach to challenge and change.
The successful candidate will have relevant experience of working in an education setting with a 3-4 year old provision or Early Years setting, have an excellent understanding of the expectations of EYFS learners and have the personal drive to achieve excellence.
We are looking for an EY Practitioner who will:
• Plan, deliver and support early learning opportunities of a consistently high standard.
• Be able to share good practice with colleagues and work flexibly alongside them.
• Contribute to stimulating children’s interests, responding to each child’s emerging needs and guiding their development through warm, positive interactions.
• Be in empathy with and support the Christian foundation of the academy.
• Promote and model the values and ethos of St Chad’s Academies Trust
• Be a reflective practitioner
• Possess excellent organisational and communication skills and has the ability to develop effective relationships with staff, children, parents/carers and our community.
• Promote the spiritual welfare of the children and staff
