As a result of the recent news of the DfE announcement that schools and academies have/will be contacted days before the start of term regarding the risk of RAAC constructions within their buildings, I would like to provide you with the following information.

 

As we are part of St Chad's Academies Trust, the matter of RAAC has been an ongoing agenda item for St Chad's Academies Trust’s Estates working group, with the DfE questionnaires completed by our academy in 2022, with further consideration and support given from a specialist educational building company.

 

It is for this reason, I am reaching out to provide assurance from the initial reports that there has been no risk identified at our academy and there is no requirement for our academy to be closed.
