Spirituality at Havergal C of E Primary Academy
At Havergal Academy, we believe that it is very important to provide all children with a range of opportunities to help them develop spiritually. We believe that spiritual development may not be same as our collective worship and can be explored through many different curriculum areas.
We use the model of Windows, Mirrors and Doors to support our shared understanding of Spirituality.
Windows - learning about life
Look outwards. Learn | We give children opportunities to look out and be inspired - to become aware of the world in new ways - to notice awe, wonder, beauty and mystery in the world.

Mirror Learning from life
Look inwards. Reflect. Ask questions. | We give children opportunities to look inwards - to reflect on life's big questions and to consider their own thoughts, beliefs and values.
In this, children are learning from life by exploring their own insights and perspectives and those of others. | |

Learning to live life Respond. Step out. Live our values | We give our children opportunities to look outwards and step through - to put beliefs into action and make a difference in the world.
In this, children are learning to live by putting into action what they are coming to believe and value. |
