Havergal CofE (C) Primary School :- OFSTED Report relating to the inspection which took place at Havergal on the 3-4 May 2017.
We are very happy with the report which confirms that Havergal is a Good School with Outstanding Behaviour (p7 Ofsted Report). We were particularly pleased that the inspection reflected our pride in the many strengths that Havergal has. I have included some of the highlights below.
“Leaders and staff work with pupils and parents to provide a wonderfully nurturing school community.”
“Pupils’ behavior is exemplary around school and classrooms. Their care and respect for one another contributes impressively to the ethos of the school.”
“Pupils take pride in their work and their school.. Pupils show a high level of care and support for one another…One pupil summed up this ethos by saying “we are a team here we look after each other. It’s like a house being built of bricks. We fit together and are strong.”
“Teaching is lively and stimulating, so pupils enjoy learning and work hard.”
“Teachers know the pupils well and plan learning that secures good progress.”
“They (teachers) quickly and skillfully address misconceptions..”
“The executive Headteacher and head of school provide determined and effective leadership…The governing body and representatives of the trust are knowledgeable and astute. They provide robust challenge and support.”
