Administration Of Medicines In School
‘The school will only administer medications following completion of a consent form. Medication must be suitably labelled with a child’s name and dosage clearly visible. Medication will be stored in a secure location and records will be retained of medication administered.’
Completion of medical form, by parent when receiving medicine into school.
Medicine kept, if appropriate, in medicine refrigerator in staffroom, or if not required to be kept in a refrigerator, in lockable cupboard with the exception of inhalers which are kept in classrooms.
Parents are requested to collect medicine at the end of the school day.
